Amplifier Mixer
Tech-ignorant: Where I can find a mixer with an amplifier?
I am a small time DJ. I listen to music through my laptop. We have a six channel mixer to the receiver. I need a new mixer and would like to bypass the receiver. What the hell is a powered mixer? It is a mixer available with an amplifier? What would it be called? I found mixing amplifier (sounds good) but everything is technology and I'm conversation. I need space for various microphones, connectors for two devices (laptop and possibly a CD player), and volume control. Any help would be * much * appreciated. Thanks! =) Web sites are super useful! Just wondering what you look up. Power mixer? Mixer amplifier? Mixer pre-amplifier? PA? powered mixer? Just do not know.
