I want to start a recording studio in my brick shed. What do I need?

Ive asked this question before but no Response; many. Essentially, is something for fun, recording with my band and maybe make a little pocket money. I know Ill probably end up not making much money outside it, but id like to try. Things I have been recommended for purchase are: Microphone: Shure SM57 microphone cables: At least 10 meters microphone stand: preamplifier resistant boom stand: Behringer MIC200 Tube Ultragin Mixer: Behringer XENYX 802 Mixer Mixing Studio 1024 or Desktop Software: Cubase 4 Pop Filter Studio Headphones: Behringer Hps 3000 acoustic foam soundproof room Is there anything else I need or do you recommend different types of equipment. I have a powerful computer that isn't a problem. Also some tips are cool!

As mentioned before it really depends on how far you would like to take this. A soundboard is probably the first line business. Again, depending on the amount you want to record will depend on how many channels you need. Basically a channel for the microphone and instrument. I use a Mackie 20 channel and serves almost all the needs I had also comes with sound effects in the plate can be fun to play with (reverb, phaser, etc.) (4 vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, keyboard, saxophone, sound effects loops (ipod), and six channels for the drums (kick, snare, tombs, the tomb of soil, R + symbols L – side of all this requires more buses and more standing.) Keyboards: You will need DI box to connect the sound card of all these cables require XLR and 1 / 4 "instrument cables. Battery: Mic-ing can be a little complicated. Brick is a very surface hard, the sound is going to jump out of what someone said earlier in this post is a good route foam to dampen this. I even heavy use thick curtains around all the walls.
